Yorkville Historic Preservation Society
The mission of the Society is to aid in the preservation, renovation, and economic promotion of historic buildings and sites in the Yorkville area, beginning with the Old Jail at 111 W. Madison Street.
Newly formed in 2017 in response to the City of Yorkville's plans to demolish the Old Kendall County Jail, the Yorkville Historic Preservation Society is a non-profit organization of volunteers whose membership is open to anyone interested in working to preserve and protect Yorkville's historic buildings and landmarks. We value Yorkville's heritage and history and invite you to join us at one of our fundraising events, at City Council and County Board meetings, or on our Facebook page - godirectlytojail.
