You are invited to participate in Yorkville’s popular trick-or-treat event, where families visit participating businesses for treats, games, contests, and fun. View event flyer

A few things will look somewhat different due to COVID safety guidelines (no crowded “concentrated” trick or treating at Old Second Bank, spacing of booths at other locations, etc.). Businesses and families are invited to participate at their own comfort level. See IDPH trick or treating guideline link below.

TOUCH A TRUCK

The Yorkville Police Department, Kendall County Sheriff’s office, Bristol Kendall Fire Department, Septran, Davey Tree, and more will bring vehicles for display. If your business would like to be included please contact the Chamber.

SCARECROW WALK & TRUNK-OR-TREAT TRAIL

The City will host a “Trunk or Treat Trail” along Hydraulic Street and Riverfront Park. Businesses interested in decorating a trunk or scarecrow for the trail may visit the Parks & Rec website.

Guests are asked not to attend if they are running a fever, have COVID-19 Symptoms, or anyone in the household has shown symptoms of COVID-19. Social Distancing will be encouraged by anyone attending and we also encourage you to wear a mask when in close proximity to others. Businesses and participants are urged to follow current CDC guidelines. 

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is providing the following guidance to allow for safe Halloween celebrations. See Guidelines
