Rush Copley Medical Center: Workshops on Osteoporosis and the ABC’s of Health

Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is a silent and progressive disease that makes bones brittle and prone to fracture. Often there are no symptoms until the first fracture occurs – most commonly at the wrist, hip or spine. The likelihood of these fractures occurring increases with age for both men and women. Fortunately, osteoporosis is a treatable condition with appropriate lifestyle changes and medical treatment. Join Renee Bergstrom, MSN, APN, CMSRN, Advanced Practice Nurse with Castle Orthopaedics, as she discusses symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment as well as steps that can be taken to prevent this disease.
Registration is required.  To register for this program, please call the Oswego Senior Center at 630-553-5602.
