Rush Copley Medical Center: Cracking the Teen Code
Preparing teens for adulthood brings many challenges for parents – teaching teens to drive, negotiating curfews and choosing a college. Among these obstacles is helping teens to start managing their own health and wellness. While most teenagers feel invincible, the decisions made in the teen years about alcohol, drugs, healthy eating, fitness, sex and smoking/vaping can have long-term consequences. Join family medicine physician Sean Kennedy, MD, along with midwife Jennifer Baxter, APRN, CNM, MSN, and emergency services Trauma/Pediatric Quality Coordinator Rebecca Kovack, MSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, to learn how to help your teen become more invested in their own health and understand the potential outcomes of choices they make now.
