Upcoming Program:

Date: Tuesday, July 11th, 2017

Speaker:  Olivia Laschober

Veterans Assistance Commission of Kendall County

Presentation: We’re all intertwined: Veterans, their families, our services, and now, your business!

More Detail:
We guarantee that everyone is either a veteran, related to a veteran, or knows a veteran; after all, there are over 8,000 in Kendall County, IL alone. Let’s collaborate and increase support for vets and their families within the community!

The Veterans Assistance Commission of Kendall County will elaborate on the FREE services available to all claimants who walk through our door.  The Department of Veterans Affairs can have convoluted language regarding paperwork and benefits. We assist in assessing all variables specific to the individual and decipher benefits on the local, state, and federal level to ensure that all appropriate benefits are being sought and obtained.

Our office had previously deemed 2016 the “Year of Outreach”. Since then, appointments went up 35% in 2016 (compared to 2015/before outreach), and 2017 has thus far yielded an increase of 149% (compared to 2015/before outreach).

With growth like this, we will be inviting business and other organizations to partake in our new partnership that will be revealed at this luncheon! Don’t miss out!

About Oliva:
Olivia Laschober is currently the Assistant Superintendent with the Veterans Assistance Commission of Kendall County.   She was previously in the United States Army Reserves and served as a Psychological Operations Specialist. She deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom during the 2000’s and had the opportunity to work and support 4-2ID and 2-1ID.  Upon her return home, she graduated from NIU with a B.S. in Geology and Environmental Geosciences. She has left the environmental field and pursued a fulfilling career by helping veterans and their families.  Not only does she hold multiple Local and State positions in veteran organizations, but has since became the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers Women Veteran Representative.
